Unlock Cyber Careers Event

This event aimed at post 16 students (16 – 19 years) provides a fantastic opportunity to meet leading employers from across the cyber sector. Attendees can attend up to four informative employer-led sessions where they will gain a better understanding of the range of opportunities within each organisation, their recruitment process and career pathways available.

Girls in Tech Day

This free event in March is dedicated to inspiring girls in years 7 – 11 Bristol and South Gloucestershire to explore the dynamic and varied world of technology.
Hosted at UWE, this employer-led initiative isn’t just about showcasing careers in IT, robotics, and engineering, it’s an opportunity to break stereotypes and spark interest in technology among girls, especially those who may not yet see themselves in this field.

Unlock Cyber Taster Day

June’s Unlock Cyber Taster Day is aimed to excite and engage school pupils aged 12 – 14 years. It will consist of exciting hands-on cyber activities and problem-solving team challenges, organised by leading employers from the cyber sector.

Pupils will be divided into teams and will participate in 4 different employer activities. There will be 12 activities in total, which are divided into 3 blocks. Each activity will last for 40 minutes.

ACE Cyber Security Competition

This competition is open to all 14 – 18-year-olds. Teams of 4 can be made up of mixed ages and genders but must be from the same school. NOTE: Only members of staff can enter teams. The first round of the competition consists of problem-solving questions and brain teasers, which can be printed off and completed at any point during the opening round dates (Nov) The top performing teams (around 20 for each region) are invited to attend a live final (late Feb/early Mar) where they will complete in 2 challenges.
