Cyber Workbook Template

The Unlock Cyber Student Workbook is a structured and interactive resource designed to help young people—particularly those with SEND—explore careers in cyber security through reflection, creativity, and real-world thinking.

Across a variety of accessible and engaging activities, learners are encouraged to discover how cyber security relates to their daily lives, what skills they already have, and how those skills connect to roles in the digital world. From solving puzzles to imagining themselves as cybersecurity heroes, students build confidence while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

The workbook includes:

  • Clear, step-by-step tasks with space to write or draw responses

  • Role introductions such as Cyber Analyst, Pen Tester, and IT Support

  • Soft skill development (e.g. focus, resilience, collaboration)

  • Scenarios and reflective questions to build real-world awareness

  • Visual elements and inclusive formatting for ease of use

  • Career pathway guidance with links to apprenticeships, courses, and job roles

This template can be edited, printed, or adapted to suit learners’ needs. It’s a flexible tool that complements UnlockCyber sessions, helping educators and employers connect with students before, during, and after events.
