Cyber Schools Hub

Since 2018, the NCSC has been piloting a Cyber Schools Hub (CSH) programme in Gloucestershire. The CSH has encouraged collaboration between local schools, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), national and local companies and organisations who share the aim of encouraging young people to engage with computer science and the application of cyber security in every day technology. This resource also contains lesson plans from schools in the Cyber Schools Hub

The Open University provides free cyber security courses via its open learn site. They’ve collated a range of free content for you to take your learning further

Cisco Networking Academy

Cisco provides a wide variety of training including these Cyber Security courses and is currently providing free assistance in order to help you teach and learn.

Questions from a previous session with students fromY13 pupils at Balcarras School, Cheltenham.

Cyber defense against the dark arts by NCSC

Get students thinking about their defences against those dark artists. Passwords, authentication, and other ways of keeping your accounts safer.

Cyber careers for careers leads and teachers by NCSC

A session by CyberFirst talking about career opportunities for young people. Covering what CyberFirst are doing with Unlock Cyber for students considering cyber security and information on a competition for girls.

Cyber Security Detectives: a race against time by Amiosec

CEO Marissa Mayer has been kidnapped and students have to work through a series of problems to help locate her. Along the way students will learn about why sharing personal information on social media is bad, and break a simple code. Students will need an internet connected PC and a link to the activity. Once downloaded (and extracted) there are: instructional videos, hints and tips, and worksheets.
